Lead Design Engineer

Prolyte Products UK Limited requires a Lead Design Engineer/Design Engineering Draughtsperson.

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced design engineer, working with a team of AutoCAD design technicians to produce designs for creative aluminium structures, layouts, sub-assemblies, detailed components and an overview of welding processes. Using 3D AutoCAD to take designs from concept to production, you will have AutoCAD design and draughting experience of load bearing structures.

South Kirkby is commutable from Leeds, Wakefield, Wetherby, Sheffield and surrounding areas.

Salary: Negotiable

Overview

The PPUK Lead Design Engineer will need to have experience in, or knowledge of project manufacturing and fabrication methods. The role requires the need to have a thorough comprehension of statistical quality control processes and an understanding of marketing and project management (due to our client driven marketplace). You should have a proven high level of creative problem-solving abilities and strong quantitative and analytical skills (systems thinking, organisational knowledge, problem identification, and problem analysing and solving). You must have working knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and achievable tolerances of materials through the design process (cradle to grave engineering) to include welding procedures and welding specification on structures. Analytical reporting, retrieval, and formatting is also desirable.

Account Manager - South - Hoist & Truss Specialist

In-depth experience of the specification of staging, rigging, hoist and truss systems is essential. Ideally from an engineering background, our ideal candidate will have with a wealth of experience in selling to the theatre, events arena and concert entertainment sectors.

Essential skills to include:

• The intuitive ability to identify sales applications and therefore opportunities for our trussing, staging and hoist products
• Strong sales experience and commercial understanding
• An in-depth knowledge of the entertainment sector in the UK
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to target and engage with major clients and conclude business
• MS office & CRM skills
• Extensive experience of large scale truss, staging and hoist systems
• Experience in calculating loading capacity and return load scenarios in truss constructions
• Good knowledge of IRATA & LOLER regulations
• Basic CAD drawing manipulation
