From the very beginning, the Litestructures' DNA has been firmly entwined with the world of entertainment. Modest nightclub installations in the early 1980’s were quickly complemented by installations in arenas and studios, and then by creation of complete live performance sets and outdoor stages.
The invention of our AstraLite trussing system over 25 years ago, suddenly released the opportunity for touring bands, shows and acts to suspend lighting and sound equipment in a way not previously possible. Later we complimented this system with LiteDeck, which offered a modular staging system of unparalleled lightweight and versatility.
Litestructures continued to innovate and evolve, and in 2005 created the UK’s first purpose built rehearsal arena: Litestructures Studio.
Following the 2010 merger between Litestructures and Prolyte, the branch of Litestructures formerly known as Litestructures Live (encompassing hire, stage & set and the studio) was launched as a new, independent company called LS-Live.
LS-Live is a unique production resource based in West Yorkshire that unifies four areas of operation; Europe's largest rehearsal facility, Staging Structures, Set Construction and Equipment Rental - merging them into a single powerful entity. Add into the mix on-site custom design, manufacture and technical expertise, and you have the most capable, flexible, experienced and user-friendly force in the event production, TV and film, concert and touring marketplace.
