Oasis Meadowhall

Constantly refreshed and updated, Meadowhall is one of Britain's most enduringly successful shopping centres and its food court, Oasis, is at its heart. The Litestructures installation here had to be undertaken out of hours and at night to avoid disruption to normal operations. Hanging points had to be positioned to avoid ventilation ducts and fire sprinklers. 48 individual four sectioned frames, covered with stretch membrane, had to be assembled at floor level before being hoisted up to 10m high to create a circular, tile effect, ceiling patchwork. This 5 week project was completed on schedule.
