PC World
In order to create and maintain a unique identity for its specialist PC World chain, Dixon Stores group approached Litestructures to design a ceiling raft format which would distinguish these outlets from, for example, Currys, which we also supply. From the several designs proposed, Dixon's chose a ladder truss format, with laser-cut profile plates featuring a circular repeat pattern between the main chords. Litestructures integral live track was incorporated within the bottom chord. To maintain uniformity of style in smaller outlets, a single tube structure was adopted, allowing use in rooms with lower ceilings. Both types of structure have a white muslin canopy stretched across between the tubes to create a false ceiling effect. These ladder truss designs have subsequently been used in PC City stores in Sweden, Spain and Italy..
