Traditional towers from our competitors use a simple base made of welded tubes. This is heavy and cumbersome, and means that the tower needs to be completely broken down and reassembled every time it is moved. Instead of this, LiteMast uses ProBase, which is constructed from a series of profiled aluminium plates, giving very accurate construction, low weight, and the ability to fold the tower without disassembly (see below).

As part of ProBase, facility is made for integral mounting of a chain hoist directly to the rear of the mast. With competitors masts it is necessary to hand a motor on strops at the rear of the mast, which is a clumsy two man job. With LiteMast, the motor simply rests in place and can be fixed and rigged by one man (when using optional Easy rig frame).
